NAN Expands Team Into California

Oldsmar, Florida, September 18, 2015 — The Nationwide Appraisal Network (NAN) team has added Margaret Myles as a QC Appraisal Analyst in California. Myles brings over 29 years as an appraiser to her position with NAN.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Myles moved to Orange County, California in 1976. She began appraisal work in 1986 in her mother’s appraisal firm starting as an Office Manager. Soon after working in the office, it became apparent the appraisal business was going to be her chosen career.

As owner of MJM Appraisal Services in Irvine, CA., which she started in 1986, she works as an independent contractor and/or employee for various banks and lenders doing both field and review appraisal work for single family residences, luxury residences, condominiums and small income properties.

Earlier, she was a Review Appraiser I at Interthinx in Santa Ana, CA. where she performed quality control and investigation appraisal reviews on failed loans for the Fannie Mae project. As Staff Appraiser for Etrade Financial in Huntington Beach, CA., she handled family appraisal assignments for conventional loans. During her eight years at Ameriquest Mortgage in Orange, CA., she started as Staff Review Appraiser for the Retail Division and was promoted to Senior Review Appraiser of that division and later Senior Review Appraiser for the Wholesale Division.

She was also a Review Appraiser at IAI, Inc. in Plymouth, MI., a Fee Appraiser, Review Appraiser for CRI Appraisal in Orange, CA., a Fee Appraiser for Nelson, Pope and Rohde in Santa Ana, CA. and an Office Manager, Fee Appraiser, Review Appraiser for P.M. Myles and Associates in Irvine, CA.

Myles is a graduate of Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, CA. with an Associate Degree in Arts and a Certificate of Completion in Purchasing and Materials Management from Coastline. She also has a Certification as a Residential Appraiser from the State of California.

As a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 291, Newport Beach, CA, she was held the positions of President, Secretary, Historian, Veterans Affairs and Recreation Chair and Troop Shipping, all of which support active military, veterans and their families with ongoing projects. She has also served as Past Leadership Chair of the American Legion Auxiliary District 29 in Orange County, CA. In addition, she does face painting for the military children on family days, dabbles in plein-air oil painting, and plays the drum with the various musicians at the American Legion Post 291, in Newport Beach. Myles is currently an active Center Representative Volunteer for the Bob Hope USO at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA.
